PULAU REBAK, Pulau Rebak Besar is so named because the island apparently resembles a traditional Malay musical instrument, the ‘Rebak’ or drum from aerial view. Rebak island retains an unspoiled beauty and allure despite its easy access from Pantai Cenang.
Rebak Island is a privately owned island on the southwest of Langkawi. Rebak island is just 10 to 15 minutes boat ride away from Langkawi’s Port Langkasuka.
Rebak’s attractions are lovely white sandy beaches, a lush tropical interior filled with with tropical birds and an old fashioned rustic charm. On the island is a small marina with a shopping arcade, supermarket and restaurant.
Pulau Rebak Kecil is located midway between Pantai Cenang and Pulau Rebak Besar; this island is popular with day trippers. The forested beach is sandy for the most part and gets more rocky towards the northern end. There are chalets for those who want to stay overnight.
